Meet Caroline Evans

Painter from Ontario, Canada.

Caroline Evans was born in China, grew up in England, worked on a small Mediterranean Island, and ran off with a Canadian Soldier. Then her migratory life really began!

She knew she would be an artist on the first day of Pre-school and inherited her grandfther's pochade box at the age of ten. However, Fate set her on an academic path, and after degrees in Geography and Ecology from London University and a PGCE from Bristol, she taught in High School for many years and in many places. She studied silversmithing at Sir John Cass School of Art, and pottery at night school, made her own clothes and costumes for theatre and re-enactors, and splashed paint on walls, furniture and picture frames. The decision to become a full-time painter came in 2009, and she hasn't looked back since.

Recently retired to the gorgeous countryside near Perth, Ontario,  she paints, blogs, rewilds ten acres of forest and stream, and tries to live lightly on the planet.
